    Usually you use a wide angle setting when on a steadicam. Don't you get a pretty wide field of focus which would make a focus puller not critical?

    Actually I'm steadi cams have auto focus, I remember Rodriguez talking about the auto focus ******* up on the steadi cam shot in Dusk till dawn for the exploding building.

    I always use manual exposure except for shots where I really need to ride the exposure, but I can't because of the discontinuousness of the iris control on my camcorder.

    Maybe this should be another topic, but why focus pull on a steadi-cam shot? If one is being daring and using a telephoto lens while on a steadi-cam, I could see the necessity of pulling focus, but if one is using wide angle, pretty much everything should be in focus, right?

    Also, the steadicam rigs for mini-dv that I have seen in the past are somewhat flimsy, wind and human contact can easily knock the camera off track, no?
